Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.
In 2020, the entire world turned its collective attention for the long overdue justice of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Oluwatoyin Salau, Elijah McClain, and the countless other Black people who have lost their lives to senseless violations of civil and human rights.
Now, the revolution must be sustained. The Black community, its activists, healers, and creators have been pouring from empty cups and together, we created the opportunity to fill them.
Easy Activism, a collective of activists committed to sustaining the Black Lives Matter movement, have fundraised to provide free therapy sessions for Black people seeking care. In partnership with Mental Health Liberation and Inclusive Therapists, the funds will be used to pay the BI&POC therapists who heal alongside the community, while also experiencing shared trauma.

Application Support is Available
A number of spots are reserved for Deaf, Blind, Disabled, Neurodivergent and novice computer-user applicants that need assistance to complete the application process.
When the application cycle is open, applicants will be able to schedule a meeting with our care team for support.
Who is eligible to apply for this therapy fund?
This fund is open to all Black adult (18+) applicants living in the 50 states/DC in the so-called "United States" that are in need of financial support for mental health therapy.
Who are the therapists?
The therapists are Black, Indigenous, or People of Color members of the Inclusive Therapists community that are maintaining professional licenses in good standing.

Can I work with my current therapist?
The intent of this Therapy Fund is to extend services for people that do not have access to therapy. We will prioritize folks that do not currently have a therapist.
If your current therapist is an MHL Provider, you are welcomed to apply and let us know their name during the application cycle.
If your current therapist is not an MHL Provider, you are welcomed to invite them to apply in between application cycles (i.e. not while applications are open). We do not have the resources to onboard new service-providers during the application cycle.
Applicants requesting to work with their current therapist that is not already an MHL Provider at the time of application will be given the options to:
- Work with an MHL Provider (new therapist)
- Reallocate the funds back Therapy Fund and apply again in a future cycle
Do I have to pay out of pocket first?
You will not have to pay out of pocket. Our fund will pay towards the therapists' services directly.
How many sessions of therapy does this include?
This fund supports the initial 4 sessions of therapy, with opportunities to increase up to 12 total sessions. Before or at the first session, the therapist will discuss a continuation-of-care plan with the service-user after the funding concludes.
How does one select a therapist?
Our care team will thoughtfully match applicants with therapists that are the closest fit according to the preferences indicated on the application form. If the applicant and the therapist are not a good fit, we are happy to assist with making a different match.
Am I guaranteed to therapy when I apply?
Application does not guarantee receiving free therapy services.Â
Variables that are considered in the selection process include and are not limited to: applicant's location, applicant's preferences, and therapist availabilities.
All applicants will receive a response within 4 weeks on whether we are able to match them with an available therapist in this cycle. Applicants have the option to choose whether to be included in future cycles as they open up.
I am disabled and/or neurodivergent. Will there be support for me when I apply?
A number of spots are reserved for Disabled and/or Neurodivergent individuals that need assistance to complete the application process. (All forms are accessibility enabled).
When the application cycle is open, applicants will be able to schedule a meeting with our care team for support.
Do you plan to expand services to more locations?
We sure do! This is only the beginning. With continued community support, we have plans to expand our programs to so-called "US territories" and so-called "Canada" (in recognition of stolen and unceded Indigenous Lands).
We appreciate your advocacy, and we invite you to stay in touch through our newsletter and social media.
