¡Bienvenide! Warm welcome!
About BIPOC Healing & Therapy Fund
Since 2019, Inclusive Therapists has prioritized mental health care access for Black, Indigenous and People of Color/Global Majority (BIPOC). We make it simpler and safer for people with multiply-marginalized identities to connect with culturally responsive, identity-affirming, collective-trauma informed mental health services. (e.g., 2SLGBTQIA+, Disabled, and Neurodivergent communities)
The BIPOC Healing & Therapy Fund is our co-creation: providing free, personalized mental health care services back to our communities.
Free therapy is one form of care, and we extend other community-centered healing spaces and collective care offerings too! Please sign up to our newsletter for updates on our latest offerings.

BIPOC Therapy Fund: Application is now closed
Updated on: November 25, 2025
If you missed this application cycle
We understand that the limited availability of spots can cause disappointment, a circumstance beyond our control. (If it were up to us, funds would be unlimited for all!) This is a reminder of the immense need for free, accessible mental health care — far surpassing what our grassroots organization can address alone.
We persist in fundraising for future cycles, co-creating collective care resources, and advocating for systemic change.
As we do so, we invite you to check out these other mental health therapy funds, and hope that you are able to find the culturally-responsive care that you deserve.

Who is eligible to apply for this therapy fund?
This Therapy Fund is open to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color/Global Majority who are adults (18+) living in the so-called “United States” and in need of financial support for short-term mental health therapy.
(This Fund is not intended for long-term mental health support. Please see the question below for more details.)
We do not ask about immigration or citizenship status. No documentation is required.
This Fund is intended for applicants who:
-
do not currently have a therapist or access to mental health care
-
do not have mental health coverage through insurance
-
are first-time Therapy Fund participants
Is this Therapy Fund for short-term therapy only? How many sessions does this include?
This Therapy Fund is intended for short-term therapy only and supports up to 12 total therapy sessions. This Therapy Fund is not intended to serve as long-term therapy.
Short-term therapy is designed to focus on a specific, current concern or goal that can reasonably be addressed within 12 sessions.
Before or during the first session, the therapist and participant will assess whether this short-term model is a good fit for the participant’s needs. If so, they will also discuss a continuation-of-care plan for after the funded sessions conclude.
Because of this limited scope, 12 sessions are generally not sufficient for deeper work related to intergenerational or complex trauma, and may not be suited for tending to mental health conditions that require long-term, ongoing care.
If more intensive or long-term care is needed, the therapist may recommend alternative options outside of this Therapy Fund.
I am Deaf, Blind, Disabled, Neurodivergent or a novice computer-user. Will there be support for me when I apply?
A number of spots are reserved for Deaf, Blind, Disabled, Neurodivergent or novice computer-user individuals that need assistance to complete the application process. (All forms are accessibility enabled).
When the application cycle is open, applicants will be able to schedule a meeting with our care team for support.
Do you ask questions about immigration or citizenship?
We do not ask questions about immigration or citizenship. (No documentation is required).
We NEVER cooperate with the police or ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
How are participants selected? Am I guaranteed therapy when I apply?
Can a previous Therapy Fund participant apply again?
Welcome back, and we hope that you received the care that you needed. Our Therapy Funds are open to first-time participants only.
If you have participated in our Therapy Fund in the past and are seeking financial assistance, we encourage you visit this list of mental health therapy funds.
Who are the therapists providing services?
The therapists are Black, Indigenous, or People of Color/Global Majority members of the Inclusive Therapists community that are maintaining professional licenses in good standing.
Click this link to see the service-providers.
How does one select a therapist?
Our care team will thoughtfully match applicants with therapists that are the closest fit according to the preferences indicated on the application form. If the applicant and the therapist are not a good fit, we are happy to assist with making a different match.
Can I work with my current therapist?
The intent of this Therapy Fund is to extend services for first-time participants that do not currently have a therapist or mental healthcare provider.
If you are currently working with a therapist and are seeking financial assistance, we encourage you visit this list of other mental health therapy funds.
Do I have to pay out of pocket first?
You will not have to pay out of pocket. Our fund will pay towards the therapists' services directly.
How do you protect applicants' information and data?
We take data privacy very seriously. Here's how we safeguard your information:
- We use HIPAA compliant applications and storage to collect and store information obtained during the application process.
- If you are selected to receive funds, we need to retain some information from your paperwork to proceed to allot therapy services and funds, and for accurate documentation. Your information will be stored in a secure, HIPAA compliant location.
- If you are not selected to receive funds, your application data will be permanently deleted at the end of the application cycle, typically 60 days from the cycle opening date.
- If you are not selected to receive funds but would like us to retain your data for future Therapy Fund cycles, you can request this. After the set period (as requested and consented to) has passed, generally up to 1-year, any retained data is also permanently deleted.
- We NEVER share or sell applicant data.
- We NEVER cooperate with police or ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
Your privacy and safety are our priority.
